Chair Study

Build a Rhino model of the bentwood chair shown below and create a rendering that features the chair as its primary subject. There is an example of this chair in the Bank building that will be available for inspection. It has a broken seat and armrest, but otherwise is suitable for measurement.

The Rhino model should be as true to the form, proportions and scale of the chairs as possible, but certain components and features can be simplified or omitted. The primary modeling tool for the bent components should be the “pipe” command with the other basic surfacing commands used for the other components (extrude, revolve, planarsrf, etc).

The rendering aspect of this project requires rendering the chairs into a scene. This rendering will be created with Keyshot, working with original or found photos.
