Beginner Students:
1. Transforming Exercise
Follow the directions in the PDF called “TransformExercise”. Work in the Rhino file named “TransformExercises”, it contains all of the geometry you will need, with each problem on separate layers. Place your work on the corresponding layer as you go, as necessary.
2. Drawing Exercise
a. Trace the 3 objects shown in the Rhino file named “TracingExercise” using the polyline and control point curve tools.
b. Recreate the geometry indicated in the PDF called “PrecisionDrawing+RevolveExercise”.
3. Modeling Exercise
Recreate the revolved solid shown in problem 2b.
Advanced Students:
1. Puzzle Exercise
Form a cube from the puzzle pieces included in the Rhino model called “puzzle.3dm”
2. Drawing Exercise
Recreate the figure shown in the file called “CAD-DrawingProblem.jpg”
3. Tracing Exercise
Trace the flame design from the file called “TracingExercise.jpg”. Use as few control points as possible.
4. Table
Build a model of the table indicated in the drawings called “Table.jpg” and “TableView.jpg”
5. Chair
Build a model of the Cesca chair, shown in the image file called “Chair1.jpg”. If you feel confident, build the version with arms, shown in the file called “Chair2.jpg”
